Side Ancient City is a harbour town that has grown into the modern settlement. Walking its streets, columns and ruins stand side by side with present-day buildings.
The theatre is one of the large examples in Anatolia, seating around fifteen thousand. The agora, baths and monumental gate also survive; the bath building serves as a museum.
