Side

The Theatre of Aspendos was built in the 2nd century AD and survives as one of the best preserved ancient theatres anywhere. The stage building, seating tiers and galleries stand largely intact.
It seats roughly fifteen thousand and is known for exceptional acoustics: a word spoken quietly on stage can be heard from the upper rows. The building still hosts concerts and performances today.
Beyond the theatre, the city's aqueducts, agora and basilica can also be visited. It lies in Serik district, about forty-five kilometres from central Antalya.
