Olympos is a Lycian city inside Beydağları Coastal National Park, built along both banks of a streambed. The ruins are scattered among laurel, oleander and fig trees, and this entanglement is what sets the site apart.
Baths, a theatre, bridge piers, sarcophagi and the remains of an early Byzantine church can be seen. The path threads between the ruins and continues to the beach.
The entry ticket also covers access to the beach. The walk of roughly a kilometre is mostly shaded, following a cool route along the streambed.
