Serik
A 2nd-century Roman theatre, among the best preserved anywhere, famous for its acoustics.
The Temple of Apollo stands at the tip of the Side peninsula facing the sea and has become the emblem of the town. The five surviving columns and the section of pediment above them were re-erected during restoration work.
The building dates to the 2nd century AD and was built in the Corinthian order. The remains of the Temple of Athena lie immediately beside it.
Because it is photographed against the sea at sunset, evening is the busiest time. The site is open and within walking distance inside Side.
