Perge is a Roman city spread over a wide site in Aksu. Its colonnaded main street with a water channel down the middle, along with baths, agora and stadium, leave the city plan clearly readable.
The Hellenistic gate with its two round towers is the site's emblem. The stadium counts among the best preserved examples in Anatolia.
Many of the statues excavated here are displayed at the Antalya Museum, so combining the two visits gives a fuller picture. The site is open and offers little shade.
